GAGC Regional Funding Requests for Professional Learning
GAGC has funds available to support regional requests for professional learning workshops or events related to gifted education. Please access the Regional Funding Request Application.
How Funds are Requested:
GAGC members can submit this form at least 8 weeks prior to a meeting/workshop. Requests will be reviewed, and GAGC will send notifications within 4 weeks of receiving requests. Approved monies may be used to purchase materials, supplies, refreshments, workshop leader fees or travel, etc. Funds may be requested for up to $500 per event. Speaker expenses are limited to reimbursement for travel and hotel expenses and are based on current public system reimbursement amounts. These may be in addition to the $500 requested but should not exceed $750.
For an application to be approved, the request should show how the professional learning will address the GAGC mission statement: The mission of the Georgia Association for Gifted Children is to advocate for gifted children and youth by working with educators, parents, policy-makers, and the community to meet the needs of the gifted.
