Celebrating Gifted Education Month

Grades 9-12:

  1. Giftedness in the Digital Age
Project: Students will investigate how technology is changing the landscape of gifted education (e.g., online learning, AI tools for differentiation). They can create a presentation, report, or video exploring these changes and how they impact gifted students.

Objective: Encourage students to think about how technology can enhance or challenge the future of gifted education.

  1. Gifted Education Awareness Campaign
Project: Students will create an awareness campaign to promote the importance of gifted education in their school or community. This could include creating posters, social media posts, or even hosting a school event where they raise awareness about gifted programs and advocate for more resources.

Objective: Empower students to take action in spreading awareness about the importance of gifted education and to advocate for gifted students in their community.

  1. Exploring Creativity: The Gifted Artist
Project: Students create a piece of artwork (painting, sculpture, video, etc.) that represents their personal definition of "giftedness" or explores the role of creativity in gifted education. They can present the artwork alongside an artist’s statement.

Objective: Encourage artistic expression and provide students with a platform to explore their own gifts creatively while discussing how creativity is an important aspect of giftedness.

  1. Gifted Education Documentary
Project: Students create a short documentary or film that explores the experiences of gifted students in their school or community, showcasing different talents and discussing the challenges and benefits of being gifted. The film could include interviews with students, teachers, and parents.

Objective: Engage students in video production while raising awareness about gifted education and its impact on students.
