Celebrating Gifted Education Month
K-2
My Unique Gifts
Project: Students will create a "Giftedness Garden," where each flower represents a different unique talent or gift they have (e.g., math, art, kindness, creativity). They can color or decorate their flowers and share what makes them special with the class.
Objective: Help students identify and celebrate their unique strengths, promoting an early understanding that giftedness comes in many forms.
The Gifted Superhero
Project: Students design a superhero who uses their special abilities to help others. They can draw their superhero, write a short story, or even create a comic strip showcasing their superhero’s powers and how they help the community.
Objective: Foster creativity while teaching that gifted students can use their talents for the good of others.
Giftedness in Nature
Project: Explore how plants and animals have unique abilities. Students can research an animal or plant that has special talents (e.g., a chameleon changing colors) and create a poster or book to share their findings.
Objective: Introduce the concept of unique abilities through the natural world, showing how giftedness can be found in nature as well as people.
