The College of Education at the University of Georgia ( is pleased to announce a senior-level tenure-track or tenured research position at the rank of Professor beginning August 2019. E. Paul Torrance Professorship in Creativity and Gifted Education

The Torrance Professor is expected to work collaboratively with other researchers, educators, policy makers, and industry partners to advance both theoretical and applied research related to the development and assessment of creativity. As the Director of the Torrance Center, the successful candidate will provide leadership, build capacity and leverage the legacy and reputation of the Center to enable an impact on the local, state, national and international levels in the area of creativity. Thus, it is expected that the Director will maintain an ambitious research and development agenda appropriate to their interests, related to the Torrance Center’s mission (, including but not limited to: 1) actively pursuing external funding, 2) supervising project development and implementation, 3) disseminating research through scholarly publications and presentations, 4) leadership of interdisciplinary research teams, and 5) mentoring of both doctoral students and early career faculty
