UGA GCE Program Wins the Most Awards at the National Association for Gifted Children Conference

GAGC Executive Board member, Laurie EckeLegislative Liaison, was the recipient of the Community Service award. See announcement below released by Sarah Sumners., Director, UGA Torrance Center. Congratulations to Laurie and other UGA award winners many of whom are also GAGC members.

UGA Students, Faculty, and Alumni celebrate a wonderful awards night at the National Association for Gifted Children Convention in Orlando, Oct. 5, 2016:

(Back Row) Michael Stuart Matthews--new co-editor of the Gifted Child Quarterly; Matt McBee--Promising Scholar Award, Kristina Collins, Ahmed Abdulla--Doctoral Student Award, Sally Krisel--Incoming NAGC Presidentl; (Middle Row) Laura Heath Gary--Education Specialist Award; Brittany Anderson, Aubra Shepard, KH Kim--Outgoing Chair of the Creativity Division, Meg Easom Hines, Aubra Shepard, Sue Hyeon Paek-- Doctoral Student Award; Laura Ecke--Community Service Award; Meg Hines; (Front Row) Teresa ReddishBonnie Cramond, and Michele Hood.  Also, Kate Guthrie and Sue Hyeon Paek won Graduate Student Poster Awards, AND Kurali Grantham (Tarek’s son) won a Jenkins Award.
